Job summary

State Steel Supply is seeking an Operations Manager to coordinate activities of workers across warehouses, fabrication, traffic, and driver functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy of the warehouse, inventory and orders.

You will lead teams, establish productivity and safety standards, partner with sales, and drive continuous improvement across production lines, with travel to other location Managers as needed.

• Strong understanding of warehouse, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across warehouses, fabrication, traffic, and driver functions across multiple shifts.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of all operational processes, equipment, and workflows.
• Understand and establish clear expectations for productivity, accuracy, and safety across all teams.
• Support a team-oriented environment focused on customer satisfaction.
• Partner with Operations Managers and Supervisors throughout the company to gain knowledge and best practices.
• Ensure all customer-specific requirements are understood and consistently met.
