Central Steel & Wire is seeking an Operations Manager in University Park, IL to lead warehouse operations and drive performance through data-driven reviews. The role emphasizes safety, staffing, and strategic execution.

The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background with 5+ years in warehouse operations, ISO 9001:2008 knowledge, and SAP experience, with a proven record in lean and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred or HS diploma with 7+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years in warehouse operations, preferably metal processing/distribution.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 policies, procedures and work instructions.
• SAP experience preferred; strong analytical and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-line supervisors in daily operations with a safety-first culture.
• Manage staffing, supply, and equipment needs based on forecasted volume.
• Mentor, develop and expand talent and performance initiatives.
• Identify and implement continuous process improvements.
• Drive strategic initiatives as required.
• Oversee maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure warehouse staff are trained in OHSA safety practices.
