Job summary

State Steel Supply Co. is seeking an Operations Manager to coordinate activities of warehouse, fabrication, traffic, and driver functions.

You will drive efficiency across inventory, orders, and production lines while managing a team of warehouse personnel reporting to the Location Manager. You will partner with branch managers and sales to meet customer requirements, resolve delivery challenges, and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across warehouses, fabrication, traffic, and driver functions across multiple shifts.
• Develop and maintain understanding of all operational processes, equipment, and workflows, including production lines.
• Ensure productivity, accuracy, and safety across all teams.
• Collaborate with sales to resolve customer issues and service concerns.
• Oversee inventory accuracy and discrepancy resolution.
• Establish standards for order picking, processing, and packaging timelines.
• Monitor and manage order prioritization to meet deadlines.
• Lead, coach, and develop employees across multiple areas.
