Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, drive strategic process improvements, and lead a team of Operations Managers. You will promote safety, efficiency and cost control while strengthening customer relationships across the network.

This national role demands leadership, P&L accountability, and the ability to leverage WMS and automation to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in 3PL or contract logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• P&L management experience preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of managers and staff with coaching and culture building.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance and maintain a clean, efficient environment.
• Utilize WMS and automation to track inventory and performance metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance and inventory levels for decision-making.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure service continuity.
• Accountable for the site's P&L and financial performance.
• Present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to customers with team input.
