Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager II to lead warehouse operations with full P&L responsibility in the United States. You will drive efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction across warehousing activities, leveraging WMS and technology to optimize performance.

Ideal candidates will bring 5+ years of managerial experience in supply chain or distribution, 2+ years in a 3PL context, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment
• Experience in 3PL and/or Contract Logistics preferred
• Staff management
• P&L management preferred
• Project management preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• WMS experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment
• Utilize WMS, automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement
• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L)
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration
