Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to oversee warehouse operations, optimize processes, and lead a team across receiving, storage, and shipping. You will drive cost efficiency, safety, and productivity while maintaining strong customer relationships.

With a strategic focus, you will manage vendor relations, track performance metrics, and present regular business reviews to customers. A background in 3PL/distribution and P&L experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• P&L management preferred.
• Project management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support while building a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, overseeing all operational and personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance, and identify improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services and supplies per the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance and inventories to drive decisions.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Responsible for site P&L and its impact on customer relationships.
