Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager III - Distribution to lead warehouse operations, drive strategic processes, and optimize efficiency across our distribution centers in North America. The role emphasizes safety, cost control, and strong customer relationships while guiding a large team of managers and staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience, required.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment, required.
• Staff management, required.
• P&L management, preferred.
• Project management, preferred.
• WMS experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching and support, while developing a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and oversee facility operations to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Utilize WMS and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services and supplies within the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance and key metrics to inform decisions and drive improvements.
• Lead customer relationships through daily contact to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss, influenced by customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to customers, leveraging team collaboration.
