Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a strategic Interoperability Engineering leader to define and drive the enterprise roadmap, architecture, and reusable services. You will expand APIs, automation, and data acquisition capabilities across healthcare platforms, aligning with regulatory and enterprise objectives.

The role emphasizes modern engineering practices, governance, and measuring performance while advancing AI-enabled solutions and DevSecOps across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of management experience in a large matrixed organization.
• 10+ years of progressive experience leading continuous improvement efforts, evaluating existing systems and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term interoperability roadmap, target architecture, and enterprise platform strategy.
• Expand interoperability capabilities beyond data exchange into reusable enterprise services including APIs, developer platforms, automation frameworks, data acquisition capabilities, and integration services.
• Establish modern engineering practices, governance models, quality standards, and performance metrics that drive predictable delivery outcomes.
• Accelerate adoption of AI-enabled engineering solutions, automation, and DevSecOps practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Own the health, resiliency, scalability, security, compliance, and operational performance of interoperability platforms and services.
• Establish platform governance, engineering standards, service management practices, and operational accountability across APIs, integrations, developer services, and data acquisition platforms.
• Lead Humana’s adoption and advancement of industry standards and best practices, including FHIR, HL7, CAQH, and emerging interoperability technologies.
