Job summary

Synchrony seeks an SVP, Head of AI Solutions Technology to lead the creation and delivery of enterprise AI capabilities. You will oversee multiple programs, design target architectures, and drive responsible AI initiatives across business units with a hands-on engineering approach.

You will mentor teams of AI engineers and data scientists, partner with product, security, risk, and legal to ensure scalable, auditable, and value-driven AI outcomes.

Qualifications

Requires 12+ years of software engineering, data engineering, ML, or AI experience.
Proven track record leading multi-team tech programs.
Hands-on AI design patterns including RAG and agentic workflows.
Ability to operate amid ambiguity with competing priorities.
Experience leading technical leads, AI engineers, and data scientists.

Responsibilities

Lead AI solutions across strategic enterprise use cases with secure, scalable designs.
Set development standards for AgenticAI and oversee architecture decisions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate opportunities into roadmaps.
Drive disciplined execution with Agile delivery teams.
Develop high-performing AI talent through coaching and mentoring.
