Job summary

Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is seeking a Senior Volunteer Coordinator to lead recruitment, scheduling, tracking, and recognition of volunteers across corporate, faith, and community groups.

Under the Director of Volunteer and Partner Development, you will provide mentorship and indirect supervision of office volunteers, ensuring a positive experience at worksites and events.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years coordinating volunteer programs or related nonprofit work.
• Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel within HGSF’s tri-county service area (SF, Marin, San Mateo).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, scheduling, tracking and recognition of volunteers.
• Develop outreach plans to recruit new volunteers and deepen engagement.
• Create and edit volunteer outreach emails and materials.
• Provide trainings and orientations; oversee the volunteer experience on-site and at events.
• Attend groundbreakings and dedication events.
