What We Do

Come be part of the affordable, homeownership movement! Join us and make an impact on people’s lives! Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco believes in the power of homeownership to create generational impact. To this end, we build homes for first-time homeowners and sustain homeownership by helping homeowners retain their home as an asset for generations to come.

Your Impact

The Playhouse Workshop and Warehouse Manager plays a key role in advancing Habitat Greater San Francisco's mission by leading our Playhouse Build Program, supporting hands‑on skills training for Habitat’s construction program, and maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse operation.

This position creates meaningful volunteer and corporate engagement experiences through hands‑on playhouse build events that connect participants to Habitat's affordable housing mission. The Manager leads and hosts playhouse build events, trains and guides volunteers, and ensures every participant has a safe, rewarding, and fun experience while constructing high‑quality playhouses for local families and community partners. The Manager also supports Habitat’s new home construction by providing hands‑on skills training to candidate homebuyers and regular volunteers, helping participants develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to contribute on Habitat construction sites and to successfully maintain their homes.

The Manager works closely with Construction staff to help coordinate training, prepare materials and tools, and support a consistent and positive learning experience for volunteers and candidate homebuyers.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has basic carpentry and workshop experience, takes initiative, and is passionate about creating positive volunteer experiences. By delivering exceptional events, developing participants' construction skills, and maintaining efficient operations, the Playhouse Workshop and Warehouse Manager helps build community support and generate critical resources for Habitat's work.
