Job summary

MVA International Headhunters is seeking a General Manager to lead and scale its U.S. data center construction operations, overseeing multiple projects and regional activities. The role requires delivering hyperscale and mission-critical facilities, building high-performing teams, and nurturing trusted client relationships.

The GM will drive strategy-to-execution, manage cost/schedule/risk, and help expand the footprint of the U.S. business with a strong leadership presence.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience in data center construction.
• Proven record delivering large-scale hyperscale or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience leading a regional portfolio and multiple project teams concurrently.
• Strong commercial, contractual and operational leadership with cost/schedule/risk oversight.
• Executive-level client relationship, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work from a U.S. base.

A rapidly expanding international data center developer is seeking a General Manager to lead and scale its U.S. construction operations.

About the Role

This is a senior executive opportunity for a leader who has delivered major hyperscale or mission-critical data center projects, built high-performing teams and developed trusted client relationships. The successful individual will oversee multiple projects and regional operations while shaping the continued growth of the U.S. business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the U.S. data center construction business, translating strategy into a clear operating plan.
• Provide executive oversight across a portfolio of hyperscale and mission-critical projects.
• Maintain accountability for delivery, commercial performance, risk, quality, safety and operational excellence.
• Build, recruit, mentor and retain multidisciplinary project leadership and delivery teams.
• Establish effective project controls, governance, reporting and performance management across the portfolio.
• Drive programme performance against schedule, budget, quality and client objectives.
• Anticipate portfolio-level risks and intervene early to resolve delivery or commercial issues.
• Support regional planning, workforce strategy, market expansion and the development of scalable delivery capability.

Client and market leadership

• Build senior relationships with hyperscale clients, consultants, general contractors, delivery partners and other key stakeholders.
• Represent the business credibly at executive level and strengthen its reputation for dependable delivery.
• Support the identification, development and conversion of new opportunities in the U.S. data center market.
• Create strong alignment between client expectations, commercial commitments and operational delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience in data center construction.
• A proven record of delivering large-scale hyperscale or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience leading a regional portfolio, multiple projects and several project teams concurrently.
• Strong commercial, contractual and operational leadership, including oversight of cost, schedule and risk.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling teams in a high-growth environment.
• Executive-level client relationship, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience gained with a leading general contractor, developer, owner or EPC organisation delivering hyperscale data centers.
• Willingness to travel as required and to work from a U.S. base aligned with the operational needs of the business.

Preferred Skills

• Dallas-Fort Worth is preferred, with candidates based in Eastern, Central or Mountain time zones also considered.
