Qualifications

• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality control; identify and resolve risks.
• Drive standardization of best practices, tools, and processes across field ops.
• Support recruitment, staffing, and workforce planning to meet growing pipeline.
• Report on project performance, forecasting, and risk to executive leadership.
• Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and on active jobsites.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a top-tier general contractor with a rapidly expanding mission critical construction division, delivering some of the largest hyperscale data center campuses in the country for the world's leading technology and cloud infrastructure clients. As demand for AI and cloud infrastructure accelerates, they are scaling their field leadership team and are seeking an experienced Vice President of Field Operations to oversee execution across a portfolio of mega hyperscale projects, primarily concentrated in Texas and the East Coast.

This is a high-visibility leadership role for a construction executive who has led field operations on multiple concurrent, large-scale ($500M+) data center or mission critical builds and is ready to take on a regional/national oversight role.

The Role

The VP of Field Operations will provide senior leadership and oversight to Project Executives, Senior Project Managers, and Superintendents across multiple concurrent hyperscale data center construction projects. This individual will be the primary link between field execution and executive leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the quality standards expected by hyperscale clients.

Extensive travel across active job sites in Texas and the East Coast is required.

• Provide strategic and operational oversight of field operations across multiple concurrent mega hyperscale data center projects

• Report on project performance, forecasting, and risk to executive leadership and ownership
• Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and on active jobsites

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive construction experience, with significant time in mission critical / hyperscale data center construction
• Proven track record overseeing multiple large, complex, concurrent projects ($300M–$1B+ in value)
• Prior experience as a VP ,General Superintendent, or Field Ops Executive within a top ENR-ranked general contractor
• Deep understanding of hyperscale client expectations, delivery models, and design-build/CM-at-risk methodologies
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building capabilities across large field organizations
• Excellent communication and executive presence; comfortable engaging directly with hyperscale/tech clients
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across active project sites in Texas and the East Coast
