Job summary

Compass Housing Alliance seeks a Veterans Housing Case Manager II to provide trauma-informed, client-centered case management for veterans facing homelessness and housing instability. The role emphasizes motivational interviewing, collaborative planning, and coordinating with community partners to secure safe, stable housing.

The position requires experience with housing services, strong documentation, and the ability to mentor other case managers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of case management experience with a minimum of 1 year in a Compass program.
• Experience with housing insecurity, mental health, substance use, and related barriers is preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed case management using motivational interviewing and strength-based approaches.
• Develop housing stability plans and coordinate with housing partners and service providers.
• Maintain client files, document notes, and input data into HMIS and related systems.
• Assist participants with housing searches, applications, and move-in support.
• Mentor and guide other housing case managers to promote program consistency.
