Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) seeks a Senior National Service Officer-Appeals to advocate for alumni and families with VA benefits appeals. The role drafts and edits decisions, manages dockets, and develops evidence to support appeals under AMA and legacy systems.

You will train teammates, conduct research, and build relationships with the BVA and related bodies. Ideal candidates have five or more years in veterans benefits advocacy, knowledge of 38 U.S.C.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of laws and regulations for Veterans benefits (Title 38).
• Extensive knowledge of the appellate process and VA procedures.
• Ability to advise claimants and present arguments before VA bodies.

Responsibilities

• Draft decisions for VLJ review, including complex cases.
• Edit and manage appealed issues before the VA Board.
• Review evidence credibility and probative value in claims files.
• Prepare appellate briefs and conduct hearings docketed at the BVA.
• Support training for teammates on appellate best practices.
