Wounded Warrior Project seeks a Senior National Service Officer-Appeals to advocate for alumni and their families in VA benefits appeals. You will draft appellate decisions, manage dockets, and support training for Benefits Services teams while building relationships with VA counterparts.

The role requires strong legal writing, appellate knowledge, and a mission-driven approach within a flexible hybrid work structure.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of the laws and regulations pertaining to Veterans benefits.
• Strong knowledge of the appellate process.
• Ability to render valuable assistance to claimants before the VA.

Responsibilities

• Draft decisions for VLJ review.
• Manage appealed issues before the VA and BVA.
• Review evidence and credibility in claims files.
• Assist Benefits Services teammates with best practices in appeals.
