Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation seeks an experienced Product Integration & Applications Engineering Lead to own technical product definitions for a new commercial chassis platform, from concept through production launch, on-site in Michigan. You will ensure configurations are feasible, manufacturable, and commercially viable by coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and customers.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident status required; work authorization in the United States.
• 8+ years in product engineering, systems engineering, or related fields in commercial vehicles.
• On-site role based in Michigan with customer and partner interaction.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical product definition and configuration architecture across the chassis platform.
• Develop and maintain vehicle and application requirements with traceability.
• Interface with body builders, suppliers, and customers for integration standards.
• Manage configurations, option logic, and engineering constraints for market readiness.
• Create and maintain ICDs, specs, and product governance documents.
• Lead engineering changes and assess impact on manufacturing and customers.
• Provide cross-functional leadership across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and sales.
• Guide customers and internal teams on applications and configuration feasibility.
• Support prototype builds, launches, and early production activities.
