Job summary

DAVIS Construction, a leading contractor, seeks a Senior Virtual Construction Engineer to guide BIM/VDC workflows on complex projects. You will supervise model coordination, deliverables development, and mentor junior staff, reporting to senior leadership.

Strong experience managing federated models, clash detection, and RFIs is essential. You will lead multiple coordination efforts across active projects, aligning VDC deliverables with schedules and integrating reality capture data into project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• 3+ years VDC experience
• Proficient in BIM software (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD)
• Able to independently manage federated models and clash detection
• Understand point cloud processing for VDC
• Strong communication with project teams and leadership
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience leading coordination on active construction projects
• Understand construction docs, systems, assemblies, phasing, and trades coordination
• Ability to interpret and validate shop drawings and submittals

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced trade coordination on complex new construction and renovation projects
• Manage Virtual Construction project setup and model administration
• Apply BIM Execution Plan requirements to define coordination needs
• Produce and oversee advanced BIM/VDC deliverables
• Establish QA/QC procedures to ensure model accuracy
• Collaborate with Field Engineering and Reality Capture teams
• Develop creative, constructable solutions for coordination challenges
• Align deliverables with schedule milestones
• Mentor junior staff and promote efficient workflows
• Support cost management and technology adoption
