Job summary

DAVIS Construction in Rockville, MD seeks a Senior Virtual Construction Engineer to lead BIM/VDC coordination on complex commercial projects. This hands-on role partners with project teams and trade partners to translate model coordination into constructable field solutions.

You will manage federated models, perform Navisworks clash detection, and guide junior VDC staff, with occasional remote days after onboarding.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on VDC/BIM experience on commercial construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Expertise with Navisworks clash detection and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead BIM/VDC trade coordination on complex commercial projects.
• Develop and manage federated models and perform clash detection.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with project teams and trade partners.
• Coordinate MEP, structural, architectural systems and shop drawings.
• Mentor junior VDC staff and advance workflows across the team.
