Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced VDC professional to lead coordination of BIM data and model reviews on construction projects in Memphis. You will collaborate closely with design partners, trades, and clients to implement VDC workflows on site using software such as Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and AutoCAD.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in VDC or related field with at least four years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage concurrent tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or related technology, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, with minimum 4 years of related experience or in a related role.
• Attain and maintain continuing education credits for CM-BIM designation, preferred.
• Able to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and specifications related to VDC.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage competing demands.
• Basic scripting/coding skills (e.g., Dynamo, Python).
• Proficient with BIM tools (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD) and collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead VDC processes and review design models for construction projects on site with stakeholders.
• Coordinate VDC workflows with Preconstruction and Reality Capture teams, including simulation models and production tracking.
• Conduct BIM coordination meetings, track action items, and support communications with the VDC team.
• Develop solutions for constructability issues and communicate outcomes to parties.
• Assist in deploying BIM execution plans and evolving VDC tools for continuous improvement.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
