Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a VDC Specialist to lead BIM coordination and VDC processes on Irvine project sites. You will collaborate with design partners, trades, and clients to review models, manage documentation, and drive constructability solutions using Revit, Navisworks, and ACC tools.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in VDC or related field and at least 4 years of experience, with scripting skills (Dynamo, Python) preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in VDC or related technology, with 4+ years of related experience or equivalent education
Able to read, interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, schedules
Proficient with BIM standards, codes, and specs related to VDC
Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration with stakeholders
Basic scripting/coding skills (Dynamo, Python)
Familiar with reality capture workflows and BIM tools

Responsibilities

Lead VDC processes and review design models on project sites with stakeholders
Coordinate BIM coordination meetings, track action items and support communications
Perform VDC engineering tasks including BIM coordination and RFIs
Prepare quantity variance reports for estimating and change management
Develop on-site presence to address constructability issues and communicate solutions
Implement BIM execution plans and related VDC tools
Explore and deploy new VDC tools for continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Preconstruction and Reality Capture
