Ryan, LLC is seeking a Senior UX Designer, Design Systems to own and evolve the design system powering our digital tax products. You'll keep components sharp, patterns consistent, and the system scalable as the product grows.

This craft-first IC role focuses on token naming, component behavior, and documentation clarity, with collaboration across engineers and product designers to ensure system relevance and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of product/UX design with enterprise design system ownership.
• Proven track record building and scaling component libraries used across multiple products.
• Experience with AI tools to accelerate design and research.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to authority for our design system and set standards across the team.
• Educate designers on system usage and governance to ensure consistency.
• Identify gaps and debt, prioritizing high-impact improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering to translate components into code with tight feedback loops.
• Partner with Product and Visual Design to align patterns with real needs.
• Govern design-system initiatives and advocate best practices.
