Job summary

Ryan, LLC is seeking a design-system focused UX designer to own the standards for components and tokens across our tax technology products. You will educate designers on consistent usage and partner with engineering to translate designs into code.

The role emphasizes governance, scalable Figma libraries, and ensuring accessibility as a built-in default. Hybrid work and generous benefits are offered in the United States.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing enterprise design systems used across products.
• Experience building, maintaining, and scaling component libraries adopted by product teams.
• Portfolio showing design-system thinking; include portfolio link in application.
• Advanced Figma skills including variables, tokens, components and auto-layout.
• Understanding of design-to-code translation; knowledge of HTML/CSS and React a plus.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA, contrast).
• Experience with AI tools to accelerate design and research (Claude, Figma Make, Lovable).
• Experience in financial/enterprise/B2B domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain standards for design-system components across teams.
• Educate designers to use the system consistently and build trust.
• Identify gaps and system debt; prioritize high-impact improvements across products.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure components are correctly implemented in code.
• Work with product designers to ensure system patterns meet product needs.
• Collaborate with Product and Visual Design to align new patterns with visuals.
