R-2 Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Utility-Scale Power & Renewables Project Manager to own the commercial, contractual, financial, and administrative success of assigned projects from turnover through closeout.

The role partners with Field Operations, anticipates risks, protects profitability, and builds lasting customer relationships. On-site with no remote option, travel up to 20% nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience managing heavy civil, solar, BESS, substation, transmission, or underground infra projects in utility-scale.
• Strong command of contracts, estimating handoffs, budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and change management.
• Ability to read construction plans, specifications, scope letters, and pricing schedules and translate to execution.
• Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel nationwide.
• Preferred: field experience leading to PM role.

Responsabilités

• Lead projects from turnover to closeout and manage customer acceptance.
• Be primary commercial/contact for customers, GC, and stakeholders.
• Set priorities, deadlines, and clear inter-department communication.
• Identify and mitigate material risks with solutions.
• Own budgets, cost coding, and estimates to completion.
• Review costs, earned hours, margin trends, and cost to complete.
• Maintain monthly forecasts and explain variances.
• Manage progress billings, receivables, and cash flow.
• Identify unbudgeted costs and pursue recovery.
• Lead mobilization and preconstruction planning with Field Ops.
• Coordinate master schedule and two-week lookahead.
• Ensure drawings, submittals, changes reach field leadership.
• Coordinate safety, QA, and corrective-action requirements.
• Provide weekly reports on financial health, schedule, changes.
• Lead lessons-learned reviews and improve planning and delivery.
