Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. is seeking an Utility-Scale Power & Renewables Project Manager to own the commercial, contractual, financial, and administrative success of assigned projects from turnover through closeout.

You will partner with Field Operations, anticipate risks, protect profitability, support execution, and build lasting customer relationships. This on-site leadership role requires overseeing heavy civil, solar, BESS, substations, and transmission projects, with up to 20% nationwide

Qualifications

• Experience managing heavy civil, solar, BESS, substation, transmission, or underground infrastructure construction projects in the utility-scale market.
• Demonstrated command of contracts, estimating handoffs, project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and change management.
• Ability to read construction plans and price schedules and translate them into execution requirements.
• Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects from turnover through execution, customer acceptance, and closeout.
• Serve as the primary commercial and contractual point of contact for customers and stakeholders.
• Establish priorities, deadlines, and clear communication across departments.
• Own commitments, identify risks, and implement recovery plans to protect margins.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and monthly cost-to-complete analyses.
