Job summary

R-2 Contractors seeks a Utility-Scale Power & Renewables Project Manager to own commercial, contractual, financial, and administrative success of assigned projects from turnover through closeout on-site. This role partners with Field Operations, leading risk mitigation and building lasting customer relationships while traveling nationwide up to 20%.

The position oversees budgeting, scheduling, and contracts, ensuring margin protection and timely project closeout, with compensation ranging from

Qualifications

Experience managing heavy civil, solar, BESS, substation, transmission, or underground infrastructure construction projects in the utility-scale market.
Demonstrated command of contracts, estimating handoffs, project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and change management.
Ability to read construction plans, specifications, scope letters, and pricing schedules and translate them into execution requirements.
Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel nationwide as required.

Responsibilities

Lead assigned projects from estimating turnover and preconstruction through execution, customer acceptance, and final closeout.
Serve as the primary commercial and contractual point of contact for customers, general contractors, and project stakeholders.
Establish project priorities, responsibilities, decision deadlines, and clear communication between all participating departments.
Own commitments, solve problems proactively, and elevate material risks with recommended solutions.
