Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Standard Operations professional in Fort Collins to coordinate daily work plans for utility crews, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will assign tasks, manage resources, and adjust schedules in response to real-time progress and priority changes.

The role requires strong scheduling, data analysis, and communication skills, with five years of relevant utility experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum five years' experience in construction, design, maintenance or operations (utility experience preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities to meet customer/internal stakeholder requirements.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
• Knowledge of and ability to use work management, mapping and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Adjust planned schedules daily and assign crews for priority tasks based on resources and progress.
• Review approved work outside normal scheduling window; maintain visibility into queue and assign new tasks.
• Review work packets prior to assigning work; coordinate equipment, prerequisites and materials; ensure proper work acceptance and site readiness.
• Manage work rejections, triage additional requests, and adjust schedules to accommodate disruptions to meet start dates.
• Communicate with local supervisors and stakeholders to maximize productivity and resource utilization.
