Job summary

Xcel Energy in Wisconsin Abbotsford is seeking a Standard Operations position to coordinate daily work plans for a large crew base with emphasis on safety, customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

You will assign tasks, coordinate equipment and materials, adjust schedules as needed, and communicate with frontline leaders to minimize downtime and ensure on-time starts. Strong Excel skills and data reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years' experience in construction, design, maintenance or operations area (utility experience preferred).
• Scheduling/planning experience in utility or construction industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities to meet customer/internal stakeholder requirements.
• Established analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to retrieve and manipulate data from reporting tools.
• Knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of computer software applications including Microsoft products, work management, mapping and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Adjust planned schedules on a day-to-day basis and assign crews for priority tasks.
• Review approved incoming designed work outside normal scheduling window and manage queue.
• Coordinate all equipment to complete work and ensure prerequisites are met.
• Manage work rejections and re-schedule to keep promised start dates.
• Communicate schedule updates to frontline leaders, crews and stakeholders.
