Job summary

Xcel Energy, a leading energy provider, seeks an Operations Scheduler to plan and optimize multi-week schedules across regions and commodities. The role focuses on proactive resource alignment, compliance, and cost-efficient execution by field crews, with hybrid work expectations in Minnesota.

You will coordinate with supervisors, analyze demand, and drive improvements in scheduling processes while ensuring customer and regulatory timelines are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field preferred.
• Five years’ experience in construction, design, maintenance or other operations area.
• Utility scheduling/planning experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities to meet requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage meetings.

Responsibilities

• Plan multi-week work schedules for a region/function/commodity area, prioritizing work and allocating resources.
• Manage personnel, equipment, and material availability over a multi-week timeframe to ensure crew readiness.
• Analyze scheduling performance to forecast resource utilization and identify improvements.
• Ensure compliance tasks are scheduled within required timeframes and dependencies are respected.
• Communicate with supervisors and stakeholders to optimize productivity and adherence to schedules.
• Drive customer satisfaction through strict adherence to scheduling processes.
