Job summary

Benchmark Utility Services is seeking a Foreman to lead daily utility construction operations. This hands-on role combines supervision with field execution, ensuring safe installation and maintenance of utility systems while meeting project specs and timelines.

The Foreman will oversee crews, track progress, and coordinate with subcontractors, project managers, and the Superintendent to address changes in scope. OSHA certifications and a strong safety mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years hands-on construction experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• OSHA 10/30 certifications.
• Experience working with subcontractors and managing on-site teams effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for equipment installation and repair.
• Must be willing to perform duties of laborer and operator upon demand if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates daily activity and time reporting of field crews.
• Supervises daily paperwork execution (toolbox talks, dig permits, etc.).
• Reviews project plans and blueprints and tracks materials, deliveries, trucking and subcontractor work.
• Inspects work progress and equipment to verify safety and specifications.
• Trains and mentors crew members to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
