Job summary

Benchmark Utility Services is seeking a hands-on Foreman to supervise daily operations on utility construction projects in Ruston, LA. You will lead field crews, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with project managers to meet schedules and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in construction with supervisory experience, OSHA certifications, and a proven ability to read blueprints and manage on-site teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years hands-on construction experience with at least 2 in supervisory roles.
• Experience supervising field crews and coordinating daily activities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Strong safety focus and knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work six days a week when required.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates daily activity and time reporting of field crews.
• Reviews project plans, blueprints, and materials tracking.
• Ensures safety compliance and quality on site.
• Trains and mentors crew members and conducts performance evaluations.
• Manages on-site subcontractors and coordinates with supervisors.
• Performs pre- and post-operating equipment checks.
• Addresses operational challenges to minimize downtime.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
