Job summary

Pearce Services in Edison, NJ is seeking an Experienced Critical Power Field Technician to support customers across Edison, NJ and the surrounding region. You will service UPS/battery plants, DC power systems, PDUs, and STS units in mission‑critical environments such as data centers and healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, installation and commissioning of UPS systems, battery strings, and related power infrastructure, plus timely reporting and

Qualifications

• 3+ years servicing UPS and data center power systems.
• Experience with major UPS brands (Eaton, Vertiv/Liebert, Schneider Electric/APC, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, ABB).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose faults.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within service territory.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on UPS systems, battery plants, DC power systems, PDUs, STS units.
• Diagnose electrical faults using schematics and test equipment.
• Install, commission, and replace UPS systems and battery strings.
• Respond to emergency service calls and restore systems to operation.
• Develop service reports and communicate with customers professionally.
• Mentor junior technicians and support field training.
• Maintain OSHA/NFPA 70E safety compliance.
