Job summary

Abridge is seeking a University Recruiter to identify and hire exceptional early talent, focusing on software engineering. You will build an early talent program from scratch and partner with engineering leaders to create a rigorous evaluation process.

Based in San Francisco, this hybrid role requires three days in the office weekly, with flexible remote work on other days. You’ll own interns and early career hiring across multiple entry points.

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting software engineers, including interns or early career talent.
• Track record of finding strong candidates through a range of sourcing channels.
• Enough technical fluency to evaluate engineering profiles and partner credibly with hiring managers.
• High judgment for recognizing potential, learning velocity, and motivation beyond credentials.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end intern and early career recruiting, initially focused on software engineering.
• Partner with the Early Talent Program Manager to build and execute a differentiated hiring strategy.
• Find exceptional candidates across universities, bootcamps, apprenticeships, and other talent channels.
• Define exceptional potential with engineering leaders and build a rigorous evaluation process.
• Deliver a candidate experience that reflects Abridge’s demanding, caring, mission-driven culture.
• Use pipeline data and hiring outcomes to continually improve our approach.
• Build the systems and partnerships needed to scale the program.
• Support other critical technical roles outside peak early talent cycles.
