Job summary

Abridge is seeking an Early Career Recruiter to identify and hire exceptional emerging talent aligned with our mission. You will build an early talent program reaching universities, community colleges, bootcamps, apprenticeships, and other pathways, partnering with our Early Talent Program Manager and engineering leaders to scale recruiting for interns and junior engineers.

This hybrid role is based in San Francisco and requires three days in the office per week, with flexible remote work on

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting software engineers, including interns or early career talent.
• Track record of finding strong candidates through a range of sourcing channels.
• Enough technical fluency to evaluate engineering profiles and partner credibly with hiring managers.
• Strong judgment for recognizing potential, learning velocity, and motivation beyond traditional credentials.
• A builder's mindset and comfort creating structure in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• High ownership, urgency, and care for the candidate experience.
• Genuine connection to Abridge's mission and excitement about helping emerging talent begin their careers here.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end intern and early career recruiting, initially focused on software engineering
• Partner with our Early Talent Program Manager to build and execute a differentiated hiring strategy
• Find exceptional candidates across universities, technical communities, bootcamps, apprenticeships, and other talent channels including event strategies
• Work with engineering leaders to define exceptional potential and build a rigorous, consistent evaluation process
• Deliver a candidate experience that reflects how we operate at Abridge: demanding, caring, and mission-driven
• Use pipeline data and hiring outcomes to continually improve our approach
• Build the systems and partnerships needed to scale the program
• Support other critical technical roles outside peak early talent cycles
