CopperPoint Insurance Company is seeking a Lead Underwriting Systems Analyst to partner with underwriting, IT, actuarial, and other stakeholders to implement and enhance commercial insurance products in Guidewire PolicyCenter.

This role serves as the systems product owner for assigned lines, driving requirements, QA, UAT, training, and process improvements while supporting CopperPoint’s growth and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Commercial Insurance.
• Bachelor’s degree or professional insurance certification desirable; high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter or similar policywriting system.
• Strong understanding of business workflows for transacting commercial insurance and Agile methodology.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence.
• Ability to create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

Responsabilités

• Lead backlog refinement and prioritize features for releases.
• Create user stories with acceptance criteria and clarify requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and translate into backlog.
• Define release goals and scope with the Underwriting Systems Manager.
• Define acceptance criteria with stakeholders and ensure delivery aligns with criteria.
• Participate in test case development and acceptance testing.
• Create and revise training materials for the lines of business.
• Provide informal leadership and mentor analysts.
