Job summary

CopperPoint Insurance Companies seeks a Product Owner - Policy Management to lead strategy, roadmap, and delivery of technology-enabled capabilities across the commercial policy lifecycle. You will connect business, technology, data, and operations to drive measurable outcomes.

As owner, you’ll shape vision, prioritize the backlog, and ensure compliance and auditability while guiding an agile squad and partnering with engineering, UX, and analytics to deliver scalable policy management solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, technology, analytics, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance (P&C).
• 5+ years in product ownership or equivalent leadership role.
• Deep expertise in at least one insurance domain (claims, underwriting, billing).
• Proven ability to own and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Define squad vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap.
• Translate business strategy into objectives and OKRs.
• Lead an agile squad and respond to market and regulatory changes.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of product capabilities.
• Ensure alignment across adjacent product domains and value streams.
• Deliver high-quality customer and operational experiences.
• Backlog ownership with focus on business value, risk, and compliance.
• Balance feature delivery with tech debt and stability.
• Provide clear user stories with requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Act as primary business owner and decision authority for the product.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, UX/design, and data teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Drive agile delivery of compliant product capabilities.
• Influence architecture and platform decisions for long-term scalability.
• Embed auditability and governance in product design.
• Foster a data-driven culture with analytics teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in product performance and delivery.
