Job summary

CopperPoint Insurance Companies is seeking a Lead Underwriting Systems Analyst to partner across Underwriting, IT, actuarial and operations to implement, maintain and enhance Guidewire PolicyCenter for multiple lines of business.

The role prioritizes backlog management, requirement documentation, testing, and training materials while driving underwriting integrity and regulatory compliance across a growing insurer with a regional footprint.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 5 years of professional experience in commercial insurance.
• Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (or similar policywriting system).
• Understanding of business workflows for transacting commercial insurance.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence.
• Ability to translate technical resources for insurance products and Guidewire.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog for assigned lines of business.
• Create detailed user stories with acceptance criteria for development.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather needs and feedback and integrate into backlog.
• Define release goals and scope in collaboration with the Underwriting Systems Manager.
• Define acceptance criteria with stakeholders to ensure delivered features meet expectations.
• Participate in test case development, execution and UAT for new releases.
• Create and revise training materials for LOBs and common functionality.
