Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) seeks a Senior Underwriter to support Management and Professional Lines, underwriting and marketing assigned products, and developing strong agency relationships. You will analyze financial statements, price risks, and present proposals to producers to grow a profitable portfolio.

The role requires advanced technical underwriting expertise, consultative sales approach, and collaboration with brokers and internal teams to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in underwriting or related field.
• Experience managing agency relationships and profitable book of business.
• Professional designations such as RPLU, CPCU, ARM, or AU are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a profitable book of business across Directors & Officers, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, Cyber, and other Management Liability products.
• Develop agency relationships, drive profitable growth, and participate in marketing activities and stewardship meetings.
• Mentor and train less experienced underwriters; collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet service and production standards.
