Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) is seeking a Senior Underwriter to support the Management and Professional Lines portfolio. You will underwrite, market, and grow a profitable book of business, while developing strong agency relationships and guiding less experienced underwriters.

Role requires advanced technical underwriting expertise, consultative sales approach, and collaboration with brokers, agents, and internal teams. Location flexibility across multiple western states is offered.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical knowledge of Financial Lines and Management Liability products.
• Strong analytical, financial analysis, and risk assessment skills.
• Sales, marketing, negotiation, and relationship management capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage agency relationships and profitable book of business.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a profitable book of business across Directors & Officers, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, Cyber and other Management Liability products.
• Underwrite and market assigned products with broker/agency partners and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate pricing and terms for complex new/renewal business.
• Mentor and train less experienced underwriters and contribute to team development.
• Develop territory strategies and agency partnerships for profitable growth.
