Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a Tokio Marine Group member, seeks a Senior Underwriter to support growth of Management and Professional Lines. You will underwrite, market, and manage a profitable book, while strengthening agency relationships and delivering underwriting excellence across products.

Role handles complex underwriting issues with manager assistance as needed and mentors junior underwriters as part of the team-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years in underwriting or related industry.
• Proven experience managing agency relationships and negotiating with producers.
• Advanced knowledge of Financial Lines and Management Liability products.
• Strong analytical, financial analysis and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Independently gather and analyze information and apply advanced underwriting techniques to evaluate risk acceptability.
• Evaluate, select, and price risks in accordance with underwriting guidelines and authority levels.
• Prepare and present proposals to producers and accounts, negotiating pricing, terms, and endorsements.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities across commercial product offerings.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to agents, brokers and insureds.
