Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies is seeking a highly motivated Senior Underwriter to support growth and profitability of its Management and Professional Lines portfolio. You will underwrite and market products, manage a profitable book, and develop strong agency relationships while delivering underwriting excellence.

The role handles complex underwriting issues with manager assistance as needed and contributes to mentoring less experienced underwriters.

Qualifications

• Independently gather and analyze information and apply advanced underwriting techniques to evaluate risk acceptability.
• Evaluate, select, and price risks in accordance with guidelines and authority levels.
• Analyze financial statements, operational exposures, loss experience, and other risk characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present proposals to producers and accounts, negotiating pricing, coverage terms, conditions, and endorsements for complex new and renewal business.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities across product offerings.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to agents, brokers, and insureds.
