Philadelphia Insurance Companies is seeking a Senior Underwriter to support Management and Professional Lines growth. You will underwrite, market, and manage a profitable book while building strong agency relationships and delivering underwriting excellence across D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, Cyber, and related products.

The role emphasizes advanced technical underwriting, consultative broker partnerships, and leadership in shaping profitability and risk selection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience.
• Experience managing agency relationships and a profitable book of business.
• Professional designations such as RPLU, CPCU, ARM, or AU preferred.
• Advanced technical knowledge of Financial Lines and Management Liability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a profitable book across Directors & Officers (D&O), EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, Cyber, and other Management Liability products.
• Analyze financial statements, exposures, loss history and other risk characteristics to support underwriting decisions.
• Prepare submissions, present proposals to producers, and negotiate terms and pricing for complex new and renewal business.
• Mentor and train less experienced underwriters and share best practices.
• Develop agency relationships and drive profitable growth through marketing and stewardship.
