Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Underwriter to onboard new business opportunities and manage Group Captive accounts. You will maintain underwriting files and collaborate with Associate Underwriters to ensure proper booking and coding.

The role requires building strong client relationships, effective communication of risk appetite, and active participation in client and broker conference calls. A proven sales mindset and adaptability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Prior insurance experience required.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new business opportunities.
• Handle up to 2 medium-sized Group Captive accounts.
• Maintain clear and concise underwriting files and perform self-audits for other underwriters.
• Communicate risk appetite/Captive Solutions Value Proposition to brokers.
• Work with Associate Underwriter(s) to ensure booking and coding on accounts are completed.
• Resolve account-related questions from internal peers and/or Clients/ Brokers.
• Participate in client (internal/external) conference calls.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Producers and Captive Intermediaries.
