Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in commercial underwriting.
• Property expertise is preferred.
• Viewed as a senior resource on the Underwriting team.
• Position requires up to 15% travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business per company guidelines and risk appetite.
• Analyze complex risk data to decide coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Collaborate with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients.
• Document underwriting decisions to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate renewals and modifications for risk and profitability.
• Communicate underwriting strategies to internal teams, agents, and brokers.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions.
• Maintain relationships to generate and retain profitable business.
• Promote products and services to drive market growth.
• Lead marketing initiatives, events, and broker meetings.
• Mentor newer staff and support strategic adjustments.
