Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting professional for Meritain Health, CVS's independent subsidiary, to support pricing and stop loss strategies for a diversified book of business.

This fully remote, full-time role collaborates with Sales and Client Management, develops financial projections in Excel and Salesforce, and prepares quotations for prospective and existing clients. The position emphasizes accuracy, speed, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of applicable medical insurance experience in brokers, carriers, TPAs or underwriting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Sales and Client Management on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepares quotations and financial deliverables for prospective and existing business.
• Develops financial projections using Excel and Salesforce.
• Marketing and placement of stop loss policies, negotiating terms based on data.
• Collaborates with leaders to assess impacts of custom requests.
• Manages operational data for fee development and financial analysis.
• Presents to internal/external customers and partners.
• Shows understanding of Meritain products and services.
• Participates in presentations to customers and partners.
• Determines product mix with Sales to reduce total cost of care.
• Explains rates and communicates underwriting and stop loss policies.
