Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriter for Meritain Health to support pricing and stop loss strategies. The role involves preparing quotes, financial projections, and presenting to clients.

This fully remote position offers national scope and collaboration with Sales and Client Management teams. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in medical insurance, strong communication and analytical skills, and experience with Excel and Salesforce.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of medical insurance experience in brokers, carriers or TPAs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with sales, client management and internal partners.
• Demonstrates growth mindset and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Advise Sales and Client Management on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepare quotations and financial deliverables for prospects and current clients.
• Develop financial projections using Excel models and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop loss policies and negotiate terms based on data.
• Collaborate with leaders to assess impact of custom requests.
• Analyze operations data for fee development and financial analysis.
• Present to internal/external customers and partners.
• Demonstrate understanding of Meritain products and services.
• Create presentations for customers, partners and internal teams.
• Align product mix with proposals to reduce total cost of care.
• Assist sales and client management in explaining rates and policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with sales, management and partners.
