Job summary

CVS Health, through Meritain Health, seeks an underwriter to support pricing, stop-loss strategies, and proposals for mid-market and specialty channels. You will prepare quotations, financial projections in Excel and Salesforce, and present findings to clients and internal teams.

This full-time, remote position offers exposure to a national book of business with collaboration across Sales and Client Management to reduce total cost of care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of medical insurance experience (brokers, carriers, TPAs, underwriting, or related).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Adept at collaboration and teamwork.
• Growth mindset with a willingness to develop yourself and others.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on pricing and stop-loss strategies to Sales and Client Management.
• Prepare quotations and financial deliverables for prospective and existing business.
• Develop financial projections using Excel and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop-loss policies; negotiate terms based on data and strategy.
• Collaborate with leadership on impacts of custom requests.
• Present findings to internal/external customers and partners.
