Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an experienced Underwriter for Meritain Health, a CVS subsidiary. This fully remote position supports pricing, stop loss, RFP responses, and plan consultation across Mid-Market and Captive channels.

Responsibilities include pricing guidance, preparing quotations, financial projections, and presenting results to clients and partners. A 40-hour week and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 1-2 Years of applicable medical insurance experience: brokers (producers), carriers, third-party administrators, benefit analysis, underwriting, rating methodologies, or policy marketing, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and consultation to our Sales and Client Management teams on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepares and issues quotations and other financial deliverables for prospective and existing business while meeting established departmental TAT goals.
• Prepares financial projections on prospects utilizing financial models in Excel and Salesforce.
• Marketing and placement of stop loss policies, negotiating terms based upon claims data, strategy, relationships, and cost avoidance/reduction efforts.
• Works with leaders from key functional areas to understand potential impacts for custom requests.
• Manages and interprets operational data and applies to fee development and financial analysis.
• Presents to internal/external customers, constituents, and business partners.
