Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting professional for Meritain Health, a national employee benefits administrator. This fully remote role focuses on pricing, stop loss, and quotations for mid-market and captive channels, using Excel and Salesforce for financial projections.

You will collaborate with Sales and Client Management to guide pricing decisions, prepare proposals, and clearly communicate rates to clients and internal stakeholders to support cost management for plan sponsors.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of medical insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and consultation to Sales and Client Management on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepares and issues quotations and other financial deliverables for prospective and existing business.
• Prepares financial projections on prospects utilizing financial models in Excel and Salesforce.
• Marketing and placement of stop loss policies, negotiating terms based on claims data, strategy, relationships and cost avoidance/reduction efforts.
• Collaborates with leadership in Sales to determine the appropriate product mix on proposals to reduce total cost of care for the plan sponsor.
• Independently assists sales and client management personnel in explaining rates/fees and underwriting and stop loss policies.
