Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting professional for Meritain Health, a CVS subsidiary. This fully remote role supports Mid-Market and captive channels with a focus on quotations, pricing strategies, and stop-loss analysis.

The candidate will use Excel and Salesforce to prepare financial projections and client deliverables. Ideal applicants have 1–2 years in medical insurance and strong communication, analytical, and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of medical insurance experience in brokers, carriers, TPAs or related fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Sales and Client Management on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepare and issue quotations and financial deliverables for prospects and existing business.
• Create financial projections using Excel and Salesforce for prospects.
• Market and place stop loss policies, negotiate terms based on claims data and cost avoidance.
• Collaborate with leaders to assess impacts of custom requests.
• Analyze operational data and apply to fee development and financial analysis.
• Present to internal/external customers and business partners.
• Explain Meritain products and services with strong business knowledge.
• Assist sales and client management in communicating rates and underwriting policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with sales, clients, and internal partners.
